After some hard-going negotiations with Mr Branson and his wacky team (and despite that letter), the nice people at Virgin Atlantic have agreed - if we travel in groups of at least 10 people - that they will take a chunk off their published prices for our guests.
Since people's holiday plans are varied, we were thinking of booking a group for one week, and a second group for two weeks. If you could think about which group you'd like to be in and post in the comments below, that would be super helpful.
Group rates
The price for a return flight to Nairobi from London Heathrow will be around £400 at the group rate .
The Virgin flights leave the UK at about 7pm and arrive into Nairobi the next morning. They leave Nairobi mid-morning and get back to the UK mid afternoon. We are thinking of booking groups so that they fly out of London Friday night, arriving the Saturday morning, and then leaving Kenya on a Saturday.
We have looked into BA and Kenya Airways but these are a little more pricey at £465

For those of you who need to be more flexible with your travel arrangements (or want some peace and quiet on the flight), direct flights are approximately £475 with Virgin and BA.
